Heard learned counsel for the parties concerned. 2.

The claim of the petitioner, in the present writ application, is regarding the interest payable under the heads provident fund and deferred dearness allowance. Initially, the same has been calculated by the University, which amounts to Rs. 8,63,193/-.

The contention of the petitioner is that despite

Patna High Court CWJC No.16953 of 2015(4) dt.15-03-2024 2/3 having calculated the interest under the aforesaid heads, the amount has not been paid or transferred in the account of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the Magadh University submits that the University has issued the pay order for payment of the claim of the petitioner i.e. Rs. 8,63,193/-. He further submits that pay order for payment of interest amount to 03 teachers of Sardar Patel Memorial College, Udantpuri, Biharsharif, Nalanda, amounting to a sum of Rs. 20,50,649/- has already been issued on 14.03.2024. Since the amount has already been deposited in the College, the College may be directed to pay or transfer a sum of Rs. 8,63,193/- in the account of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the Patliputra University submits that Sardar Patel Memorial College, Udantpuri, Biharsharif, Nalanda may be directed to pay/ transfer the aforesaid amount of Rs. 8,63,193/- to the petitioner's bank account.

Accordingly, I direct the Principal of Sardar Patel Memorial College, Udantpuri, Biharsharif, Nalanda to transfer Rs. 8,63,193/- in the bank account of the petitioner, within a period of one week from the date of receipt/ production of a
