JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 13-07-2023 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1.i) For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the Respondents authorities to consider the promotional case of the petitioner as "Forester" w.e.f. 01.01.2000 itself in terms of the letter No.743 dated 17.02.2000 issued by the Principal Chief Conservator Of Forest, Bihar, Ranchi (as contained in Annexure 1) as the much junior to the petitioner has already been promoted. (ii) For issuance of an appropriate writ directing the Respondent authorities to pay the entire promotional monetary benefits and other consequential benefits to the petitioner w.e.f. 01.01.2000 itself i.e the due date of promotion."

Patna High Court CWJC No.15181 of 2014(2) dt.13-07-2023 2/2 At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits, by referring to the counter affidavit, filed in the present case that the case of the petitioner for promotion on the post of 'Forester' was considered by the Departmental Promotion Committee on 08.06.2000 and 16.11.2006, but he was not found fit for promotion, however his case was again considered for promotion and finally the petitioner has been granted promotion by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Bihar, in the year, 2007.

In view of the aforesaid, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not wish to press the present writ petition, however seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent authorities for redressal of his subsisting grievances, if any.
