Petitioner apprehends his arrest in Sheikhpura P.S. Case No.644 of 2018, registered under Section 323 and other minor Sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The informant alleged that after receiving secret inputs that illegal mining of sand was going on, the informant went to verify and saw a tractor laden with sand. The driver of the tractor fled away after seeing the police but more than 100 villagers assembled there, made protest and also took away the tractor from the custody of the police.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the villagers made protest against the illegal activities of the police. The villagers did not use any force. No specific allegation is made against the petitioner.
