The Petitioners apprehend their arrest in Govindganj P.S. Case No.138 of 2014 under Sections 406, 420, 500, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The informant alleged that the marriage of his daughter Priyanka Singh was settled with Daya Shankar singh and the marriage was to be performed on 6.6.2014. The informant altogether gave Rs.3,00,000/- to Vyas Singh, the father of Daya Shankar Singh but Daya Shankar Singh demanded a Pulsar motorcycle and marriage could not be performed.

No.39723 of 2016 (3) dt.06-10-2016 2/2 The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are relatives, father, mother and other family members of Daya Shankar Singh, the bridegroom. Daya Shankar Singh has already been acquitted. Daya Shankar Singh solemnized marriage with the daughter of the informant and they are leading happy conjugal life. The informant and his daughter also appear in the court of learned Sessions Judge in order to support the factum of compromise.

Considering the facts that the bridegroom made additional demand of dowry has already been acquitted on compromise and he solemnized marriage with the daughter of the informant, petitioners above named, in the event of arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks from today, are directed to be released on anticipatory bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Sadar, Motihari, East Champaran in connection with Govindganj P.S. Case No.138 of 2014, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
