JUSTICE HEMANT KUMAR SRIVASTAVA ORAL ORDER 12-01-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. Petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Excise Case No. 240 of 2016 registered under Sections-47(a)(g) and 48 of the Excise Act as also Sections-2(c), 3, 5(b) and 18 of the Mahua Flower Act.

165 kgs. Mahua flower is said to have been recovered from godown of the petitioner.

Regard being had to the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner and accordingly, his prayer for anticipatory bail in connection with Excise Case No. 240 of 2016 stands rejected.
