The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "(I)For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the Respondent Authorities to grant due promotional benefits like A.C.P. and other promotional avenues to the petitioner since due date reckoning the services of the petitioner since the date of his initial joining in the parent Institution i.e. with effect from 01.11.1980 on the ground that vide

Patna High Court CWJC No.16725 of 2014(2) dt.20-07-2023 2/2 letter no.2309 dated 06.11.2007, a decision was taken by the department that for the purposes of granting promotion and other promotional avenues the services has been reckoned since the date of joining in the parent Institution as also the several similarly situated persons were granted promotional benefits taking into effect since the date of joining in their parent Institution."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent-authorities for redressal of his aforesaid grievance. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
