This is a very unfortunate case because though the petitioner has made an application for grant of firearm licence in the year 2008 as there was threat upon his life and property and there was also demand of extortion money and firing upon him, for which, two cases bearing Makhdumpur P.S. case no. 286/2004 and Makhdumpur P.S. case no. 280/2005 have already been
Patna High Court CWJC No.16663 of 2014 dt.18-04-2016 lodged, no decision has been taken by the licensing authority as yet.
Be that as it may, in such a situation, this Court would direct the licensing authority to take a decision on the application of the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order on its own merit and in accordance with law.
