The petitioner seeks bail in Vaishali P.S. Case No. 105/2019, instituted for offence under Section(s) 30(a), 32(2) and 42(1) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. It is alleged in the written report that on getting secret information police party reached at the place of occurrence and saw a vehicle coming towards Rahimapur Chowk. Thereafter two vehicles also came there. On search total 1143.72 litres of illicit foreign liquor was recovered from the pick-up van. Petitioner was found sitting in the aforesaid pick-up van. Keeping in view the recovery of huge quantity of illicit liquor from a pick-up van, in which petitioner was found sitting, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24816 of 2019(2) dt.22-04-2019 2/2 this stage. The prayer for bail of petitioner is accordingly rejected.

Petitioner will be at liberty to renew the prayer for bail after six months in the event no substantive progress is made in trial.
