The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Rahui P.S. Case No. 97/2018, instituted for offences under Sections 147, 149, 323, 504, 506, 307 and 324 of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 27 of Arms Act.

Earlier prayer for bail of petitioner was rejected vide order dated 26.09.2018 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 42480/2018 with liberty to renew the prayer for bail after six months in the event no substantive progress is made in trial. Report from the court below regarding present stage of trial has been received, wherein it is mentioned that in the instant case informant and victim have already been examined. Trial is likely to be concluded within six months.

In such circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for bail of petitioner is again rejected.

The trial court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order and send compliance report.
