JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 06-02-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1. I. For directing the respondent authorities to conclude the departmental proceeding against the petitioner which is pending since last 22 years.

II. For directing the respondent authorities to pay the entire due arrears of ACP, benefits of 5th Pay revision, 6th pay revision and 7th pay revision. Apart from that petitioner also prays for grant all consequential benefit along with appropriate interest for which petitioner is entitled."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondents authorities for redressal of his aforesaid grievances, as contained in Paragraph No. 1(II) of the writ petition. Liberty, so sought, is granted. 3.

As far as the grievance of the petitioner regarding non-conclusion of the departmental proceeding, pending against him since past 22 years, is concerned, the respondents are directed to conclude the same within a period of six months from today, if the same has not yet been concluded, failing which the same shall stand abated.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed.
