The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That this is an application for quashing the order dated 21-2-2014 passed by the Superintendent of Police, Madhepura (Respondent No.4) and further to reinstate the petitioner as a constable, by issue a writ or writs, direction or directions, order or orders," 2.

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the appellate authority be directed to decide the pending appeal of the petitioner, within a stipulated time frame.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Koshi Division, Saharsa to decide the appeal of the petitioner by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order. 4.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
