Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Petitioner has prayed for the following relief(s):- "(i) For issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondents to

Patna High Court CWJC No.18018 of 2014 dt.28-11-2022 2/3 appoint the petitioner on the post of constable advertised vide advertisement no. 01/ 2004.

(ii) For issuance of any other writ/ writs/ order/ orders to which the petitioner may be found entitled to."

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that accounting for the compensation as it existed on 4.2.2011, the respondents can be directed to consider the petitioner's request for appointment, should there be any post lying vacant at this point in time.

We notice that from communication dated 4.2.2011 in Bhojpur District, there were 88 vacancies of general category against which only 78 candidates were selected as police constables.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he shall approach respondent no. 5, namely, the Chairman, Saran Range Board, Chapra, Home Police Department,venting out the grievances, subject matter of the present petition, and that the said respondent be directed to consider the petitioner's request expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of such request.

Liberty, as prayed for, is granted.

The instant petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
