The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Jandaha P.S. Case no. 66 of 2015, registered under Sections 353 and 387 of the Indian Penal Code.

The accusation is that on the allegation of Dayanand Singh regarding demanding of bribe for giving the electric connection in the village, it was detected that petitioner Mahesh Sahni made demand of bribe to the villagers.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, in fact, the work of electrification was allotted to Vijay Electricals regarding which Vijay Electricals entered into agreement with this petitioner only for erection of poll and transportation of the materials, which would appear from Annexure-2 to the petition and according to that agreement, the petitioner was not

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.41127 of 2017 (3) dt.15-12-2017 2/2 authorized for electric connection in the village. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, let the above named petitioner, be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate-XI, Vaishali at Hajipur in connection with Jandaha P.S. Case No. 66 of 2015, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Cr.P.C.
