The grievance of the petitioner is that though he had applied for grant of arms licence of NP Bore pistol but no final decision has been taken as yet by the District Magistrate-cumLicensing Authority, Patna despite the fact that police verification has already been done. It is further contended that the anti-social elements have threatened the petitioner and the petitioner had already reported regarding that to the concerned police station. Copies of such information given to the police have been appended as Annexures-2 to 4.

Patna High Court CWJC No.256 of 2016 (2) dt.11-01-2016 Having regard to the aforementioned facts and circumstances, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate cum-licensing authority, Patna to take a final decision in the matter within a period of two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
