JUSTICE SAMARENDRA PRATAP SINGH ORAL ORDER 05-08-2015 The petitioner and others, who happen to be stamp vendors, have been asked explanation before renewing their licence for the reason that they lifted stamps below Rs. 80,000/- in their personal capacity.

Counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondents stating that due to chances of installation of franking machine and other computerization facilities, the work of stamp vendors have been reduced.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the only relief can be granted to the petitioner is to allow him to approach the licensing authority for redressal of his grievance. The writ petition is disposed of with the liberty to the petitioner as above.
