Petitioner has filed a Memorial on 13.03.2008 challenging the punishment dated 09.03.2007 issued by the Superintendent of Police, Sheohar as also the order dated 15.12.2007 issued by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Tirhut Range, Muzaffarpur rejecting his appeal. Counter affidavit, filed in the instant proceedings, states that the Memorial is still pending.

Such stand of the respondent-authorities cannot be countenanced.

Respondent No 2 is directed to dispose of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.8442 of 2011(4) dt.01-07-2019 2/2 Memorial, referred to in paragraph 4 of the counter affidavit, by a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

Writ petition stands disposed of.
