Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341,323,325,354, I.P.C. and Section 8 of POCSO Act.

Allegation against the petitioner is of commission of sexual assault against a minor girl. The victim has supported the aforesaid allegation in her statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C.

Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail in connection with Hathua P.S.Case No.06 of 2020 pending in the court of learned Additional District and Sessions Judge-I-cum-Special Judge, POCSO, Gopalganj. Hence, prayer is refused.

Since the petitioner is in custody since 01.02.2020,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.29472 of 2020(3) dt.15-01-2021 2/2 the learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial. Petitioner may renew prayer for bail after framing of the charges.
