2. The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with Session Trial Case No. 672 of 2024 arising out of Begusarai Town P.S. Case No. 781 of 2023 for the offence punishable under sections 395, 397 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 27 of the Arms Act.
3. As per the prosecution story, the allegations is that the accused persons stormed the Ratan Mandir Jewellery shop and looted the ornaments on the point of pistol, they also opened fire causing injury to one of the staffs who was rushed to the hospital. Accordingly, the FIR.
4. Though learned counsel for the petitioner try to impress upon this Court that he has remained in custody since 01.03.2024 and trial is not likely to be concluded, learned APP
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.26430 of 2025(3) dt.20-06-2025 2/2 has taken this Court to paragraph 54 of the case diary to show that the petitioner has been identified in the T.I. Parade. He further submits that the petitioner has criminal antecedent of the same nature inasmuch as he has three cases under his belt.
5. Considering the aforesaid facts, this Court is not inclined to extend the privilege of bail to the petitioner which is accordingly rejected. The Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and see to it that the same is concluded in next one year. (Rajiv Roy, J) Raj Ranjan/- U T
