2. The present petition has been preferred for the grant of following relief/s:

(i) for issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus directing and commanding the respondent authorities to ensure the mutation of land in question in the name of the petitioner.

(ii) for any other consequential relief/ reliefs for which the petitioner would be found entitled in the facts and circumstances of the present case.

3. Pursuant to the last order, the Circle Officer, Sadar, Nawada, Ms. Garima Geetika is present in the Court and the

Patna High Court CWJC No.7160 of 2026(3) dt.20-07-2026 2/3 submission is that she has recently joined the post as such, is/was unaware of the entire development.

4. The submission of the respondent as has come through the learned State Counsel is that reserving their rights to file appropriate petition against the order in question which led the Bihar Land Tribunal Patna (BLT Case No. 472 of 2013) to pass an order dated 04.03.2016 as also order dated 31.01.2023 in BLT case no. 506 of 2015 in favour of the petitioner, she will be taking the mutation application of the petitioner to its logical conclusion in next four weeks.

5. It is to be noted that BLT Case No. 506 of 2018 (Ramji Prasad vs State) (disposed of on 31.01.2023) with specific direction to the Circle Officer, Nawada to pass an order on the mutation of land, fixing the date of appearance of the petitioner before the C.O. on 17.02.2023.

6. The contention is that an application was preferred in the year 2024 without any decision forcing him to prefer the present writ petition.

7. In that background, this Court directs the respondent with Officer to conclude the mutation application within a period of eight weeks from the date of the filing of the proper petition for mutation. The respondents shall have the

Patna High Court CWJC No.7160 of 2026(3) dt.20-07-2026 3/3 liberty to agitate the matter, if so want before appropriate authorities/Court.

8. It is made clear that a decade has passed and it is high time the decision is taken. Any laxity on the part of the State respondents shall be viewed seriously.

9. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
