2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Kopa P.S. Case No. 80 of 2018, lodged on 16.05.2018, under Sections 399/402 of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 25(1-b)A/35 of the Arms Act.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the bail application of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 23.12.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No.42651 of 2022. He submits that the petitioner has already been convicted in Bhagwan Bazar P.S. Case No.138 of 2018 on 01.09.2018 and, thereafter, he has completed the sentence in the said case. Therefore, a sympathetical view may be taken against him.

4. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that vide order dated 15.05.2024 progress of the trial was called for. From the progress report it transpires that the trial Court has demanded six months further time for conclusion of trial.

5. In this view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected. (Dr. Anshuman, J) Mkr./- U T
