This application for anticipatory bail arises out of Karai Pasurai P.S. Case No. 80 of 2020 for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 504, 307 and 302 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 27 of the Arms Act. The petitioner is one of the assailants of the deceased who has been stabbed number of times due to previous enmity. In the opinion of this Court, this is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner as time and again the Apex Court has cautioned the High Courts not to grant anticipatory bail in serious offences like under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
