1. Though the present writ petition was filed for quashing the notice, issued by the respondent no.04 i.e. the Municipal Commissioner, Bettiah Nagar Nigam, Bettiah at West Champaran in Encroachment Case No.60 of 2023-24, however, a counter affidavit has been filed by the Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Government of Bihar, Patna, wherein it has been admitted that on account of error, the Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Bettiah had initiated action under the provision of the Bihar Public Land Encroachment Act, 1956, however, after realising his mistake, he has withdrawn the said notice, hence the aforesaid encroachment proceeding are no longer in existence.

2. In view of the aforesaid, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition.

3. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
