This application, for grant of anticipatory bail, arises out of Ara Nagar PS case no. 893 of 2023, disclosing offences punishable under Section 307 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.

3.

The prosecution story, as per the First Information Report, is that the informant was constructing a house on her own land. On 31.10.2023, petitioner along with 12-15 persons came and threatened the workers to stop the work, otherwise they would be killed. They also demanded Rs. 1 lac as extortion money.

Learned counsel further submits that there is no eye-witness to the occurrence and petitioner has been implicated in this case on the basis of suspicion only. Regard being had to the submissions made on behalf of the parties and taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner is accused in 09 cases under various sections of Indian Penal Code and Arms Act, I am not inclined to grant the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.

This application is, accordingly, dismissed.
