Petitioners apprehend arrest in a case registered for offence punishable under sections 379/307/34 and other ancillary sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner no.1 caught hold of the informant and other accused persons torn her clothes and brutally assaulted her causing nine injuries including one injury to be grievous. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that there is general and omnibus allegation of assault against all the accused persons and no specific overt act has been alleged against the petitioners. Petitioners claim clean antecedent. Learned counsel appearing for the State as well as the
