JUSTICE AJAY KUMAR TRIPATHI ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 28-04-2016 Prayer of the petitioner is for a direction upon Central Board of Secondary Education to correct the name of the petitioner's father from Pawan Prasad to Pawan Kumar. The father's name which has been provided in the Secondary School Examination Certificate has been issued by the Board on the basis of application form filled and filed on behalf of the petitioner. This examination was held in the year 2008. It is the petitioner's case that thereafter he has pursued his higher studies and the name of his father Pawan Kumar figures in other certificates. Because there is a variation in the surname in the two certificates he apprehends problem in future employment. The petitioner has taken other remedial measures including the gazette notification issued by the State of Bihar. Let the

Patna High Court CWJC No.1485 of 2016 dt.28-04-2016 2 / 2 petitioner use that gazette notification wherever and whenever a clarification is sought with regard to discrepancy in the name of his father but this Court will not compel C.B.S.E. to do something when there is no mistake or omission committed by them and that too in a distance past which was in the year 2008.
