The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offence punishable under Section 304B of the Indian Penal Code in connection with Mansahi P.S. Case No. 17 of 2019. Petitioner is husband of the victim of dowry death. The victim died after one and half years of her marriage. There is allegation of demand of dowry and torture for the same before death of the victim.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the parties have entered into a compromise. Allegation is general and omnibus . Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail is refused. However, the trial Judge is directed to expedite the conclusion of the trial without allowing unnecessary adjournment in the case.
