The petitioner seeks bail in Chainpur P.S. Case No. 35/2018, S. Tr. No. 281/2018, instituted for offences under Section(s) 448, 384, 386, 307, 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 27 of Arms Act.

Earlier prayer for bail of petitioner was rejected by this Court by order dated 04.10.2018 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 55472/2018 with liberty to renew the prayer for bail after six months if no substantial progress is made in trial. It is alleged in the written report that on the date of occurrence this petitioner along with Gopal Yadav and Badam Yadav made firing upon informant, which did not hit him and

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.25656 of 2019(3) dt.15-05-2019 2/2 demanded ransom of Rs. 5 lacs.

Learned counsel for informant has submitted that bail petition of co-accused Badam Yadav, against whom there is similar allegation as that of petitioner, has already been rejected by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court.

In view of such, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, prayer for bail of petitioner is rejected.
