This is a petition for grant of anticipatory bail for offence under Section 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Petitioners are parents of husband of deceased Murti Devi, who died in an unnatural circumstance in her matrimonial house within ten months of her marriage. There is allegation of demand of dowry and torture for the same soon before her death. Submission of the petitioners is that allegation is not specific against the petitioners.

The case diary would reveal that the family members of parents of deceased have supported the allegation of demand of dowry and torture for the same.

Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. The prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Birendra Kumar, J) SA/- U √ T √
