The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Chainpur P.S. case No. 30/2020 registered under Section u/s 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act.

The informant alleged that he after having received information about transportation of liquor from an Alto car and Ajay Kahar was escorting the vehicle with Apache motor cycle went to check the vehicles. When the vehicles came the informant signaled them to stop but both the vehicles managed to flee away. Singhashan Bind, the petitioner, fled away leaving his Alto car. It is further alleged that on search 452 bottles each containing 180 ml. Whiskey were recovered from the Alto car. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that

The petitioner is not the owner of the vehicle but it appears that the informant got specific inputs about transportation of liquor from Alto car and driver of the Alto car is Singhashan Bind, the petitioner. The petitioner has got criminal antecedent and he is accused in Chainpur P.S. case No. 437/2019 registered u/s 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
