Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Addl.P.P. for the State through video conferencing. The present application has been filed for modification of the order dated 08.02.2017, passed in Cr. Misc. No. 4996 of 2017 by which the petitioner was granted anticipatory bail.

It is submitted that due to some unavoidable circumstances, the petitioner could not surrender in the court below and furnish the bail bond within the stipulated time.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.26510 of 2022(2) dt.01-07-2022 2/2 For the reasons disclosed in the application, it is allowed and the time granted by order dated 08.02.2017, passed in Cr. Misc. No. 4996 of 2017 for surrender of the petitioner and furnishing bail bond is extended by four weeks from the date of receipt of this order in the lower court, subject to deposit of Rs. 10,000/- to the District Legal Services Authority. At the time of surrender, the petitioner shall furnish the receipt showing deposit of Rs. 10,000/- to the District Legal Services Authority.

Office shall ensure that all defects are removed by the petitioner within the stipulated time provided in para-1 hereinabove, failing which the matter shall be brought to the notice of this Court.
