1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1. That this is an application for issuance of appropriate writ, order or direction to the concerned respondents to grant Extra Ordinary Leave for the period mentioned in the calculation chart (Annexure1) in which period he has been declared absent, and for grant of all consequential benefits. "

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative
