The petitioner seeks bail in Jogbani P.S. Case No.57 of 2020, corresponding to Special Case No.199 of 2020, registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The petitioner was the driver of the vehicle and on search 1161 litres of Nepali liquor was recovered from the vehicle.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in jail since 21.02.2020. The petitioner has remained in jail for more than ten months.

Taking into consideration the facts that the petitioner has already remained in jail for more than ten months and he has got no criminal antecedent, petitioner, namely, Durganand

No.28220 of 2020(3) dt.04-01-2021 2/2 Paswan is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Araria in connection with Jogbani P.S. Case No.57 of 2020, corresponding to Special Case No.199 of 2020.
