JUSTICE KISHORE KUMAR MANDAL ORAL ORDER 24-06-2015 Nobody appears on behalf of the petitioner or the University. Counsel for the State is however present. This application seeks initiation of a contempt proceeding against the opposite parties for wilful/deliberate disregard/violation of the order dated 23.10.2013 passed in CWJC No. 4172 of 2010 (Annexure-1). From perusal of the order it appears that this Court having considered the submissions of the parties found that substantial relief was already granted to the petitioner. However, it was observed that if the petitioner is not satisfied with the payment he will be at liberty to approach the Registrar of the University for payment thereof within a specified period.

Considering the order passed on the writ petition, I am not inclined to entertain the present contempt application. Even other wise, continued non appearance of the petitioner indicates that he has lost interest in pursing the present contempt application.

The application is dismissed.
