The petitioner has sought for a direction to the State Respondents for payment of certain post retiral dues. From the pleadings on record, it transpires that certain dues have been paid to the petitioner during the pendency of this application.

It is, however, contended on behalf of the petitioner, referring to G.P.F. calculation with interest for the year 20092010 and 2011-2012 that the same has not been duly

calculated. Referring to the year 2008-2009, he contends that the interest has been found to be Rs. 12,359/-, whereas for the year 2009-2010, the same has been found to be Rs. 3254/- and for the year 2011-2012, the same has been found to be Rs. 1781/-. He submits that, prima facie, it appears to be incorrect.

In this regard, I direct the District Provident Fund Officer, Bhagalpur to communicate the petitioner within one month from today the reason behind calculation of the less interest as indicated above. If any discrepancy is detected, the same must be rectified and remedial measures must be taken within the aforesaid period.

It is further grievance of the petitioner that the petitioner has not been paid arrears of earned leave encashment arising out of introduction of revision in the pay scale. The District Malaria Officer, Bhagalpur is directed to ensure that arrearsearned leave encashment arising out of introduction of revision in the pay scale be paid within a period of one month from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

It is also the petitioner's plea that his arrears of salary arising out of a revision in the pay scale has also

remained unpaid. The District Malaria Officer, Bhagalpur will be required to consider this aspect and ensure that the arrears are paid to the petitioner within the same period, if not paid so far.

This disposes of the application.
