The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That this writ petition is being filed by the petitioner in the nature of mandamus for the direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioner on the Post of Chaukidar in place of his father Priyabrat Paswan, who has voluntarily took retirement from the post of Chaukidar."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.19871 of 2015(2) dt.06-10-2023 2/2 petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
