JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 03-01-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1. i. To issue appropriate writ(s) / order(s) / direction(s) commanding the respondent authorities for granting of all the benefits of the revised pay scales / pay structure under the 7th Pay Revision which has been wrongly withheld from the petitioners who are posted as Statistical Clerks in the Commercial Taxes Department.
Patna High Court CWJC No.7737 of 2022(2) dt.03-01-2024 2/2 ii. To hold and declare that the act of the respondent authorities in arbitrary discriminating the Statistical Clerks in the Commercial Taxes Department from the contemporaries who are posted in other departments under the State Government based on same qualification performing the similar functions, duties and responsibilities is in violation of Article 14 of the Constitution of India."

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioners in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Bihar, Patna to take a decision with regard to grant of the benefits of the revised pay scale/pay structure under the 7th pay revision to the petitioners within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order. 3.
The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
