The husband of the petitioner was an Assistant in the Additional Primary Health Centre, K.Nagar, Banbhag, Purnea. He had joined service on 14.12.1984 and died in harness, on 11.05.2011, while working at Banmankhi. The present application has been filed seeking direction to the respondents for payment of death-cum-retiral dues, consequent upon the death of the petitioner's husband. From the pleadings on record, particularly, reply filed on behalf of the petitioner to a counter affidavit, it appears that the office of the Accountant General, Bihar has issued authority slips for payment of family pension and gratuity on 24.10.2014.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted

that despite issuance of the authority slip, the petitioner has not been paid the said amount which is required to be done by the Treasury Officer.

So far as family pension and gratuity are concerned, it is directed that the respondent must ensure that the said amount is paid to the petitioner without any further delay and in any event, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. As regards, general provident fund amount, it is the petitioner's grievance that a meager amount of Rs. 12,500/- has been paid to the petitioner taking into account contribution for 2-3 years. I direct the District Provident Fund Officer, Purnea to ensure that entire admissible provident fund amount is paid to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The District Provident Fund Officer will also be required to furnish to the petitioner the details of calculation in respect to the admissible provident fund amount within the said period of two weeks. Any non-compliance of the order shall be viewed seriously by this Court.

This disposes of the application.
