JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 17-08-2021 Heard Mr. Alok Abhinav, petitioner in person, Mr. Ritesh Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University and Mr. Subhash Chandra Mishra, learned Standing Counsel No. 16 representing the State of Bihar. The petitioner has filed this writ application seeking direction to the respondent Magadh University to conduct B.A. LL.B. (five years course) examination and publish result by August, 2021, as per the academic calendar of the University.
Patna High Court CWJC No.12113 of 2021(4) dt.17-08-2021 2/3 A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the University stating therein, inter alia, that the examination in question is proposed to be held from third week of August, 2021 and the result is likely to be published in September, 2021. It has, however, been stated that the above tentative dates for holding of examination and publication of results are subject to approval of the State Government for holding the examination and further restrictions, which may be imposed due to Pandemic COVID-19 situation. It has been stated that the State Government has directed the educational institutions and the Universities not to hold examinations till 06.08.2021. Mr.
Ritesh Kumar, learned counsel for the University, on the basis of oral instructions, which he has received today, has submitted before this Court that on requests made by various colleges under Magadh University, last date for submission of examination form has been decided to be extended and accordingly the date of holding of LL.B. examination is likely to be shifted to first week of September, 2021.
Considering the facts and circumstances, particularly the prevailing Pandemic situation, this application is disposed of with the observation that let the University make all endeavours
