The petitioner apprehends her arrest in Complaint Case No.C-1164 of 2018 registered under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

The complainant named her husband and other inlaws and alleged that they all subjected her to physical and mental torture due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. She further alleged that she remained in her sasural and gave birth to a male child on 20.07.2016 but the accused persons continued to torture her. On 25.07.2018, the accused persons drove her out from the house.

It appears that complainant made omnibus allegation of demand of dowry and torture against the petitioner. Petitioner

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.25537 of 2020(2) dt.13-10-2020 2/2 is mother-in-law of the complainant.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid and the fact that petitioner is mother-in-law of the complainant, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of her arrest or surrender within a period of four weeks be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned SubDivisional Judicial Magistrate/Successor Court, Banka in connection with Complaint Case No.C-1164 of 2018, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
