3. Now the petitioner has been acquitted in the case which is an admitted fact.

4. In these circumstances, the respondent authorities are duty bound to release the rifle of the petitioner.

5. The District Magistrate, Nalanda is directed to release the rifle of the petitioner within one week from the date
