JUSTICE HEMANT KUMAR SRIVASTAVA ORAL ORDER 29-03-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 307, 498(A)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner happens to be husband of the informant and there is allegation that he along with other accused poured K. oil on her body and lit fire.

No doubt, one co-accused has already been granted privilege of bail by this court but taking note of the aforesaid fact as well as allegation levelled against the petitioner, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail and hence, his prayer for bail in connection with Dulhin Bazar P.S. Case No. 146 of 2014

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.51930 of 2016 (3) dt.29-03-2017 2/2 corresponding to Sessions Trial No. 212 of 2016 pending in the court of Additional Sessions Judge-VII, Danapur is again rejected. However, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and try to conclude the same as early as possible, preferably within six months from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order, failing which petitioner may renew his prayer for bail before the learned trial court itself.
