2. This is an application for issuance of an appropriate writ/writs, order/orders, direction/directions for the following reliefs:

I). To quash the order contained in Memo No. 2367 dated 18.3.2024, issued under the signature of I.G., Prison by which the following punishments have been identified;

a). Three Increment is withheld with cumulative effect and;

b). During suspension period, except subsistence allowance,

II). Also, to direct the respondents especially respondent no.2 to dispose off the appeal filed against the order of punishment as contained in Annexure-1 as the Appeal filed by the petitioner before the respondent no.2 is still pending.

3. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that against the order of punishment, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the Principal Secretary, Department of Home, Government of Bihar, Patna (Respondent No. 2), which is pending before him since 16.04.2024.

4. In these circumstances, the Principal Secretary, Department of Home, Government of Bihar, Patna (Respondent No. 2) is directed to dispose off the appeal filed by the petitioner after hearing him within six weeks from the date of receipt/communication of a copy of this order with a speaking order in accordance with law.

5. With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ application stands disposed of.
