2. The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in connection with Valmikinagar P.S. Case No. 77 of 2024, dated 10.08.2024, lodged under Sections 380, 406, 140, 131, 120(B), 120, 306 of the Indian Penal Code, pending before the Court of ACJM-I, Bagaha, West Champaran.

3. As per the prosecution, the informant has alleged that he was serving in the Indian Military, and his I.D. card was taken and retained by his wife with the intention of misusing it,

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has not committed any offence. It is stated that the petitioner has clean antecedents. Counsel further submits that Petitioner No. 1 had earlier lodged Valmikinagar P.S. Case No. 57 of 2024 on 28.06.2024 against the informant and his family members under Section 304B of the Indian Penal Code, alleging that within two years of marriage, the daughter of Petitioner No. 1 was found hanging in the matrimonial home due to dowry-related harassment. It is submitted that the present case has been lodged by the informant on 10.08.2024 with frivolous allegations only to protect himself and to counter the earlier case. Counsel further states that the petitioner is willing to comply with all conditions that may be imposed by this Hon'ble Court.

5. Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that, as per the F.I.R., the informant has made specific allegations regarding the misuse of his Indian Military I.D. card. It is further submitted that shortly after this alleged incident, the informant's wife was found dead under suspicious circumstances.
