The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Muffasil P.S. Case No. 159 of 2016, registered for the offences punishable under Section 307 and other Sections of the Indian Penal Code. The informant Jagira Singh alleged that the children were quarrelling each other for playing cricket and that some verbal altercation took place between the brothers of the informant and Arun Rajbanshi, the petitioner. Arun Rajbanshi is said to have assaulted the informant with iron rod which hit on the left eye of the informant. The petitioner is alleged to have snatched Rs. 2500/- from possession of the informant.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the occurrence took place due to quarrel of the children. No specific

The witnesses have stated that both the sides were quarrelling each other in which the informant got injury but the informant made very specific allegation that it was the petitioner who assaulted the informant with iron rod on the left eye of the informant and the same is opined to be grievous in nature.

Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner above named on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
