Petitioners seek bail in Andharamath P.S. Case No.34 of 2019 instituted for the offence under Section(s) 272, 273, 414 Indian Penal Code and Sections 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It is alleged that total 381 litres foreign liquor was recovered from the vehicle. The petitioner No.1 is said to be the driver of the said vehicle. It is also alleged that two persons were coming on motorcycle and they tried to run away on seeing the police party. The police arrested petitioner No.2 and another person, Md. Shamshad, managed to run away.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.28045 of 2019(2) dt.01-05-2019 2/2 Counsel for the petitioners submits that Petitioners are in custody since 28.02.2019 having clean antecedents. In the facts and circumstances of the case, prayer of the petitioners for grant of bail is allowed. Let the petitioners, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Additional District & Sessions Judge II cum Special Judge, Excise Act, Madhubani, in connection with Andharamath P.S. Case No.34 of 2019, subject to the condition that both the bailors shall be close relative of the petitioners.
