The informant alleged that she married her daughter, Mina Khattoon, with Md. Safique three years ago. After some time her son-in-law and his second wife started assaulting her daughter. It is further alleged that Md. Safique and Anguri Khatoon, second wife of Md. Safique, cut the tongue of her daughter with a sharp edged weapon.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.28155 of 2020(4) dt.29-01-2021 2/2 Md. Safique is in custody but it appears from the case diary as well as the injury report that petitioner and her husband are alleged to have caught the daughter of the informant, first wife of Md. Safique, and they cut her tongue with a sharp edged weapon. The injury report also supports the facts of cutting tongue with a sharp edged weapon and the injury is opined to be grievous.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
