Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 307/34 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the FIR, petitioner is alleged to have assaulted the informant by means of Garasa causing injury on his head. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is land dispute between the parties for which panchayati was also convened in which scuffle took place. He further submits that the injured/informant sustained one single injury caused by hard and blunt substance.

Learned counsel for the informant opposes the prayer for bail submitting that there is specific allegation against the

Considering the specific allegation of assault against the petitioner, his prayer for bail is refused with direction to surrender and seek regular bail which would be considered and disposed of on its own merit without prejudice. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) Shashi U T
