JUSTICE SAMARENDRA PRATAP SINGH ORAL ORDER 20-04-2016 This Court vide order, dated 24.01.2012, passed in C.W.J.C. No. 6417 of 2010, has directed the Bihar State Electricity Board to pay compensation of Rs.3,50,000/- to the petitioner as her son Kamdeo Kumar, aged about 20 years, died on account of electric current, because of the negligence of the Board. Learned counsel appearing for the Power Holding Company submits that an Appeal was preferred against this order,

Patna High Court MJC No.2697 of 2013 (11) dt.20-04-2016 2/2 which unfortunately got dismissed for default, for which restoration application has been filed. Learned counsel for the Board produces a Cheque of Rs.2,00,000/- drawn in favour of the petitioner, which is handed over to the learned counsel on behalf of the writ petitioner.

If nothing positive happens for the Board in the Appeal within four months from today, it will be open for the petitioner to file a fresh contempt application.

The application of contempt is disposed of.
