2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Rohtas P.S. Case No. 200 of 2024 dated 04.06.2024 registered for the offences punishable under Section 302 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.
3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner and the co-accused persons are alleged to have killed the sister of informant due to non-fulfillment of demand of gold chain as dowry.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.29766 of 2025(2) dt.01-07-2025 2/3 this case. The charge-sheet has been submitted against the petitioner under Section 306/34 of the I.P.C. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner who is husband of the deceased. The petitioner neither demanded any dowry nor tortured the deceased. It is further submitted that the deceased committed suicide out of family frustrations, and this fact is supported by her autopsy report where the cause of death was mentioned as "asphyxia" due to hanging. The petitioner has no concern with the alleged offence. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent as stated in para-3 of the bail petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 13.01.2025. The co-accused person has already been granted regular bail by this Court vide order dated 11.09.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 63794 of 2024.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the bail petition of the petitioner and submitted that the petitioner committed murder due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.
6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the heinous nature of offence against the petitioner, this court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and the same is rejected in connection with Rohtas P.S. Case No. 200 of 2024, pending in the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate-1st Class, Dehri, Rohtas.

7. Learned court below is directed to conclude the trial of the petitioner at the earliest.
