The parties today have reached common ground. The Bar Council of India, Bihar State Bar Council as well as the petitioner are ad idem that in view of the tenure of the Executive Committee having lapsed, the electoral process has to be set in motion for putting in place democratically elected body in terms of the Uniform Model Rules. The grievance, therefore, raised in

Patna High Court CWJC No.7549 of 2020(4) dt.29-09-2020 2/2 this writ petition does not survive any more. The learned counsels for the respondents unanimously submit that now since steps have to be taken for conduct of the election afresh, the Authorities of the State Bar Council and the Election Commission of the Bihar State Bar Council will proceed expeditiously and strictly in terms of the Rules, after the upcoming Assembly Elections.

No orders are required to be passed by this Court. Writ petition stands disposed of.
